On Tuesday, March 27, the California Pinto baseball team challenged the Versailles Tigers. California's Alec Koelling pitched the first five innings, keeping it a close game for Jesse Mitchell to come in and finish pitching the game. In the first inning Tyler Silvey hit a two-run homer. In the bottom of the seventh inning Burke Brant hit the game winning single with the bases loaded and two outs.
After the game Addison Jobe commented, "We finally found our bats, but defense was a little sloppy and we need to work on that come Thursday."
