As the sun was rising members of the Jamestown community came to the school Sunday, April 7, for the Jamestown Community Service sponsored by the Jamestown Ministerial Alliance. Jamestown Baptist Church was the hosting church for the service and Rev. Louie Moyers welcomed those in attendance.
The service began with a prelude by Peggy Herndon. Jamestown Baptist Church led the call to worship before Rev. Brian Bish, president of the Jamestown Ministerial Alliance and pastor of St. Paul's Evangelical Church, Jamestown, and Moniteau Advent Evangelical Church, Jamestown, gave the opening prayer and later the benediction.
Jamestown Baptist Church led congregational hymns "Ivory Palaces" and "He Lives" sung during the service. Rev. Justin Nichols, pastor of Jamestown Assembly of God, led the offering and pastoral prayers. Rev. Janet Deneke, pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, Jamestown, and Prairie Home United Methodist Church, gave the message "Preaching Peace" and read from Acts 10:34-43.
