Pintos lose close game to Indians

The California High School baseball teams traveled to Hallsville April 3, where the varsity Pintos lost a close contest to the Indians, 3-2.

"We played a much better game tonight," California Coach Dwight Fitzwater said. "We're still stranding a lot of base runners, but defense was almost flawless. Jesse Mitchell was a standout player who made several tough plays at third base. All in all I was happy with the effort my team gave. We keep getting those baserunners on and we will start cash them in."
