Repair work is ongoing at the California municipal swimming pool. The gutter, the drains, the filters and part of the decking is being removed from the indoor pool.

The filters and pump equipment are being disassembled with cutting torches and removed as part of the renovation of the indoor city swimming pool.

After that work is completed, the basin paint will be removed, a new gutter and decking installed as well as filters to meet the current standards. A new coating will be applied to the pool before it is put back into operation.

Some of the concrete decking, the rim and gutter of the swimming pool has been cut off and is being removed. The gutter, rim and at least part of the decking will be replaced.

At the Monday, April 2, meeting of the city council, it was decided to fill the outdoor pools with gravel and probably cap them with concrete for safety.
