Pintos wrap up basketball season with banquet

The annual California Pintos Basketball Awards Banquet was held Monday at the high school commons, where athletes, coaches, family and friends gathered to celebrate the season and reflect on season highlights.

Following a carry-in dinner, Coaches Blair Scanlon, Lance Conner and Dustin Jeffries recognized the players for their individual contributions and achievements.

Coach Jeffries presented the following awards to freshman players: Co-Defensive MVP, Walker Borghardt; Co-Defensive MVP and Co-Player of the Year, Allan Burger; Most Inspirational Player and Pinto Hardest Worker, Alex Dalbey; Pinto Hardest Worker and Team Captain, Eli Freeman; Co-Player of the Year, Ramiro Garcia; Team Captain and Co-Player of the Year, Drew Norton; Most Assists Award, Dylan Norton; Most Improved Player and Most Inspirational Player, Gavin Pickering; Offensive MVP, Damon Shaw; and Most Improved Player, Rudy Wirts.
