California High School DECA marketing students Courtland Gerhart and Noel Sandoval are seeking funds through donations to pay for their trip to the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Since they plan to leave California for Utah on April 27, there is not a lot of time to raise the $4,000 needed to cover the cost of plane tickets, hotel rooms and the conference cost. They would appreciate any help anyone can give them in this endeavor.

Gerhart and Sandoval have earned the privilege of attending the DECA IDCD, which is the next conference after Missouri.

DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management. According to advisor Julia Potter, ICDC teaches about marketing skills and motivation to develop interests for future marketing and business careers.

Sandoval is District V vice president. Gerhart has been selected as a leadership delegate.

Any checks for the purpose can be made out to CHS DECA and mailed to 1501 West Buchanan Street, California, MO 65018.
