Indians defeat Comets in extra innings

The Russellville High School baseball teams traveled to Westphalia Tuesday, April 17, where both the varsity and JV defeated the Comets.

Russellville's varsity won a close contest, 2-1, in extra innings.

Chase Smith pitched seven innings for the Indians, allowed only one earned run and stranded 12 runners.

"Chase was very good on the mound," Russellville Coach Lucas Branson said. "He pitched us out of some jams early in the game."
