ACT Workshops to be provided at California High School

To help students with the dreaded ACT exams, teachers at California High School (CHS) will be providing ACT Workshops throughout the year. Dana Barr, English and speech teacher at CHS, will be providing a six-hour workshop for current junior and seniors to help with the English and reading sections of the ACT. Amy Kuebler, science teacher at CHS, and Peggy Huhmann, math teacher at CHS, will instruct the science reasoning and math sections at a second workshop. Barr suggest students attend all workshops for each section before taking the ACT. During these sessions instruction, practice and simulated testing will be provided. The English/Reading sessions will be held Oct. 3, Nov. 7, and Dec. 5, 5:45-7:45 p.m., in the CHS Library Media Room. The Math/Science/Reasoning sessions will be held Sept. 26, Oct. 10, and Nov. 14, in CHS Room 141.
