Many came out to the Jamestown Ministerial Alliance School Supply Giveaway.
Tuesday, August 7, 2012
For over six years members of the Jamestown community have donated school supplies along with the Jamestown Ministerial Alliance to be handed out at the annual supply giveaway organized by New Hope Baptist Church. This year many children were served at the School Supply Giveaway held Saturday, Aug. 4, at the shelter house in Jamestown.
Josh Crider, pastor at New Hope Baptist Church, said they try to give away as many supplies as they can.
"It has been good," he added, "we have seen a lot of families come through who have needs, especially when they have more than one child. Each child averages at least $50 for supplies and it is a big blessing for children having some of those taken care of."
