One of the Moniteau County Fair Opening Day events was the annual parade held Saturday, Aug. 4, which had a plethorae of enthusiastic participants including the contestants for this year's Miss Moniteau, 2011 Miss Moniteau Bailey Glenn, 2011 Little Mr. and Mrs. Moniteau Walker Cary and Kierstyn Lawson, 2011 Tipton Fair Queen Kayla Petree, local businesses, those running for political offices, the California Fire Department, both the California City Police and Moniteau County Sheriff's Departments, California Area Chamber of Commerce, the California Pinto Band, veterans, members of local organizations, along with residents driving or riding tractors, horses, motorcycles and autos.

Winners of the float contest were; Big Hat Horse Camp (1st), Peoples Bank of Moniteau County (2nd) and Kruse Horse Training and Lessons (3rd).
