Finke Theatre 2012/2013 season announced

The start of the Finke Theatre 2012/2013 season is only a month away.  The first performance is Sept. 29 and will be starring the Home Free vocal Band, an award winning cappella sensation.  They will  bring a variety of pop, jazz and country music to the stage.  Then on hand for the Oct. 27 production will be the Bankesters who have been described as a little slice of heaven with their  great talent. 

For all their loyal fans, returning for the Nov. 17 show will be The Sweet Adeline's.  The annual Holiday Variety Show will be here on Dec. 1.  The new year will start off on Jan. 25 with the Gillam Family Illusions.  They will also do a program at the school while in town.  Cathy Barton and Dave Para with fiddler Michael Fraser bring their great musical talent  to the Finke on Feb. 16.  Ragtime piano player Dr. Dave Majechrzak comes to California on March 23 .  He has been a part of the Scott Joplin Festival in Sedalia and the Blind Boone Ragtime Festival in Columbia.  Storyteller and author Alex Primm will be featured at the Finke on April 20.  Gospel, country and bluegrass from the Potters Wheel will appear on May 18.  The regular season will end with the annual locally produced play in June.

The Finke will be having a raffle during the Festival.  The top prize is $400 with many more great items offered.  There is an early bird special on raffle tickets with 15 tickets for $10 or 35 tickets for $20.  See any member of the Finke Board for tickets.  Mike Moore Construction has started on the theatre marquee which should be complete in two weeks.
