The annual California Christmas Parade, hosted by the Chamber of Commerce, lit up the streets of downtown California Saturday evening with numerous entries including floats decorated in accordance with the Disney theme.

Float entries were judged and winners were announced after the parade at the tree-lighting ceremony on the southwest corner of the courthouse lawn.

Chamber Bucks were presented to the first, second and third place winners in the amounts of $50, $30 and $20, respectively. The Community Health Center float (Cinderella) won first place; the Coats and Tails Grooming and Boarding float (101 Dalmations) won second place; and Peoples Bank (Mickey Mouse) won third.

Santa and Mrs. Claus greeted children in the lobby of Commerce Bank after the parade. Christmas Carols were presented by members of the Californai High School Sounds of Joy.
