Pintos take Indians out 79-56

The California Pintos hosted Osage Tuesday, Dec. 11, where the varsity and both of the JV teams defeated the Indians.

California’s varsity game saw the Pintos pound out 33 points in the first quarter to lead by 18.

California held the lead throughout the remainder of the contest as well, 47-22 at the half and 5-42 after three quarters, on the way to a 79-56 win.

“We played pretty good,” California Coach Blair Scanlon said. “Especially in the first quarter. And we had good transition points.”

Dylan Albertson led California with 15 points, followed by Chase Ramsdell and Curtis Lehman with 12 points each.

Jaden Barr chipped in with 10. Albertson also had five rebounds, three assists and two steals. Ramsdell had five rebounds, five assists and four steals. Barr had five assists.

California hosted Iberia Saturday, where the varsity lost a close contest to the state-ranked Rangers, 51-50.
