California Pintos take second place at Southern Boone Classic

California's varsity boys basketball team participated in the Southern Boone Classic last week at Ashland, where the #3 seeded Pintos ultimately lost the championship game 52-40 to top-seeded Southern Boone Saturday, to finish the tourney in second place.
The Eagles led 16-7 after the first quarter, 26-19 at the half, and 38-29 after three quarters, then outscored the Pintos 14-11 in the final quarter to secure the win.
Nathanial Caudel led California with 10 points, followed by Taron Morris with eight.
