Three of the original players in the Old Time Jam Session, which was started Feb. 13, 1997, by Freddie and Ruth Hohman, are still entertaining and enjoying playing Bluegrass. Jim Donley, Louie Wacker and Bob Belt were among the original group , which started in Centennial Hall, thanks to the Fair Board, with about 40 people in attendance.

Now, 15 years later, they play every Friday at Sweet Bye and Bye, joined by other players, singers and some who come to enjoy the music.

On Friday, Feb. 10, each of the three string players were honored with presentation of

a country music plaque and a gift certificate to Burgher Haus.
