Freshman Pintos win final game of season

California's freshman boys basketball team played their final game of the season Friday night at Eldon, where the young Pintos came back in the final minutes of the fourth quarter to capture a 40-39 win from the Mustangs.

"We were down by seven with two minutes left to play," California Coach Dustin Jeffries said. "But we never believed we were going to lose this game. We scouted Eldon and prepared well for them all week, so we knew what they were good at and what we needed to do to win."

The freshman Pintos end the season 9-8.
