California City Council votes to fix indoor pool

At a special meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 15, the City of California Board of Aldermen voted 6-0 to have the indoor swimming pool repaired.

The council accepted the bid from Mid America Pool Renovation, Inc. Work to be done includes replacement of the gutter trough with a new stainless steel one, installation of a Virginia Graham Baker drain cover, all new filter system, drain system, heater, chemical system, a new pool basin coating, new deck coating, two vacuum lines to enhance cleaning of debris from the pool and an ADA approved accessible lift.

The work is to be completed by Memorial Day allowing as much of the use of the pool as possible during the year.
