Lady Panthers end season for Lady Eagles

Prairie Home faced Jamestown Monday night in first-round action at the Class 1 District 9 Girls Basketball Tournament at St. Elizabeth, where the Lady Panthers dominated three of four quarters to capture a 40-23 win and end the season for Jamestown.

"We played a really good game to start off right in district play," Prairie Home Coach Jesse Oswald said. "Our defense had them flustered and we hit some key shots offensively to build a lead and go on a couple of big runs."

Katlynn Watson led Prairie Home, seeded fourth, with 10 points and three assists, followed by Taylor Zey with nine points and nine rebounds. Kendra Stinson chipped in with eight points, four rebounds and three assists.
