Tipton's varsity girls' basketball team hosted Smithton Jan. 10, where the Lady Cardinals suffered a 63-57 loss.
Tipton trailed by 12 points at the half.
"It was a tale of two quarters," Tipton Coach Linda Scott said. "We scored 21 points in the first half and 36 in the second."
Caroline Combs led Tipton with 16 points.
"Caroline had a tremendous game," Scott said. "She made three 3-pointers in the second half."
Hannah Rugen followed with nine points and Ashley Jones added six.
