Russellville Girls

The Russellville Lady Indians hosted Crocker Thursday, where the varsity girls suffered a 60-56 loss.

"Every game is a learning experience," Russellville Coach David Volkart said. "We didn't do a very good job in a lot of areas. Little things like executing, finishing shots and making free throws win games. We struggled in those areas late in the fourth quarter. We will turn this into a positive and get better from it."

Hannah Campbell led Russellville with 21 points, followed by Amber Duncan with 12 and Kennedy Volkart with 10.

Russellville (12-4 ) will play at North Callaway Thursday, beginning with the JV game at 6 p.m.

Prairie Home Boys

The Prairie Home boys basketball team hosted Malta Bend Thursday, where the Panthers captured a 74-35 win. Trever Huth led Prairie Home with 39 points. Rayce Kendrick followed with 15 points, while Sam Distler chipped in with 14. Huth and Distler led rebounds with six each.

David Hostetter led Malta Bend with 17, followed by Jared Armstrong with 14.

The JV Panthers played a two-quarter game against Malta Bend and won 24-3.

Jonathan Brandes led the Panthers with eight points, followed by Matt Distler and Klay Holliday with seven each.
