Freshman Pintos defeat Versailles Tigers

California's freshman boys basketball team hosted Versailles Friday, where the Pintos captured a 49-34 victory from the Tigers.

"We played a really good game against Versailles," California Coach Dustin Jeffries said. "We had a really balanced scoring attack, which makes the other team have to try to stop more than one player."

Eli Freeman and Allan Burger led California with 10 points each, followed by Drew Norton with nine.

"Our defense was really good as well," Jeffries added. "Only three of their players scored, while all but one of ours scored."
