Inspired Designs, located at 705 West Buchanan, California, is a gift boutique created by Kimberly Scheidt. The motto for the business is "Anything is possible, when you're inspired." Scheidt said many things inspire her, most recently being her daughters Everley, three years old, and Rowyn, six months old.
"I graduated from the University of Central Missouri, Warrensburg, with a degree in Interior Design," Scheidt said. "I have always been interested in creating things. Several items at my boutique are custom made and hand-crafted. Getting into a creative groove and creating new items is how I came up with the name Inspired Designs. I begin each design by thinking of things which inspire me. Aside from the hand-crafted items, we offer a variety of home accessories, gifts for all occasions, a spa line and a childrens' section. I never imagined offering a childrens' line, but being a mommy and with my daughters' inspiration, we carry items to help mommies on the go. I also offer design consultations which range from assisting with paint colors, furniture, accessories and space design. I definitely like keeping my boutique on the modern side."
