The Prairie Home School Geography Bee was held Jan. 9, where eighth graders Ben Stock and Ben Kixmiller finished in first and second place, respectively, and sixth grader Sage Eichenburch finished third. The event determined the PHS winners and the eight PHS students who will participate in the CCAA Geography Bee March 20 at Higbee. Diane White has joined the staff at Prairie Home School as the new English teacher. Her first day at PHS was Jan. 3. White recently moved to Jamestown, from Linn, to be closer to the school.
The CCAA Spelling Bee was held Jan. 12, where Prairie Home School eighth grader Makayla Zey won first place, while PHS eighth grader Ally Small won second place. Zey and Small are shown above with the remaining PHS students who participated in the bee.
