Prairie Home Boys
The Prairie Home Panthers participated in the CCAA Tournament at Otterville last week, where they ultimately lost the championship game to Oterville Saturday, 58-48.
Trever Huth led the Panthers with 18 points and six rebounds, followed by Rayce Kendrick with 12 points and Sam Distler with 10 points and eight rebounds.
"This was a very hard game for us to walk away from," Panther Coach Jesse Oswald said. "Otterville has a very good team and we did a very good job of keeping them in check for most of
the game. We allowed them to start the third quarter with a 14-2 run and
that proved to be the fatal blow."
Previously at the tourney, Prairie Home defeated Jamestown 48-26 in first-round action Jan. 23.
The Panthers led 17-2 after the first quarter and 29-10 at the half. After an even 6-6 third quarter, Prairie Home outscored Jamestown 13-10 in the final frame to win 48-26.
