The California Lady Pinto basketball teams hosted Harrisburg Thursday, where the varsity girls lost a close contest to the Lady Bulldogs (#1 ranked in Class 2), 50-48, after Harrisburg sank a last-second shot at the buzzer to secure the win.

California started out with a 9-5 lead after one quarter and led 19-17 at the half. After an even 14-14 third quarter, the Lady Pintos led 33-31 going into the final frame, however, the Lady Bulldogs outscored California 19-15 in the fourth quarter to secure the win.
