Wayne Bueker, 64, of California, Mo., passed away on Friday, June 29, 2012 at his residence.

He was born on October 14, 1947, the son of Walter E. and Maxine (Ratcliff) Bueker, both of whom preceded him in death. He was married on May 25, 1968, at High Point Baptist Church to Mary Scott, who survives of the home.

He was a 1965 graduate of California High School, and attended the University of Missouri for two years prior to being drafted into the United States Army, where he served from 1968-1970 in Germany. Wayne worked for many companies, including Burgers' Smokehouse, Moorman Feed Sales, United States Postal Services as a rural mail carrier for several years, Longfellow's, and was a Highland Insurance Agent for almost 25 years, until the time of his death. He was a lifelong farmer and loved his horses and Black Angus cattle. He enjoyed being on horseback, trail rides and team penning. He loved his time he could spend with his family, and enjoyed all his granddaughters' activities. He was a member of California United Church of Christ, where he served on the church consistory, was a member of the Brotherhood and the Evangelical Cemetery Board. He also was in the Moniteau County Saddle Club, Young Farmers, Moniteau County Pork Producers, Missouri Farm Bureau, and the Poland China Record Association.

He is survived by one daughter, Roberta Jacobson and husband Aaron of Lohman; one son, Kevin Bueker of California; two granddaughters, Hannah and Hailey Matthews; and one sister, Diana Watson and husband Paul of Jamestown.

Funeral services were held on Monday, July 2, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at United Church of Christ in California. Burial was in Evangelical Cemetery. Officiating was Rev. Brian Bish.

SCHOENTHAL

Helen B. Schoenthal, 93, of Jamestown, Mo., passed away on Monday, July 2, 2012, at California Care Center.

She was born on January 13, 1919 in Jamestown, Mo., the daughter of Nick and Frances (Sperber) Baer, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married on November 1, 1942, in Moniteau Evangelical Advent Church, Jamestown, Mo., to the late Herbert Schoenthal who preceded her in death on January 4, 1981.

She graduated from South Carolina School, near Jamestown, Mo., then attended business school in Kansas City, Mo. Helen was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Church, Jamestown, Mo., where she was the pianist for many years and was instrumental in starting the church choir. She was also a member of the Hickory Flat W.P.F.A, the China Painters Guild and Women's Guild. She enjoyed china and oil painting, where she was involved in many craft shows displaying her artwork. Also enjoyed playing cards and games with her grandchildren and will always be remembered for her quick humorous wit.

She is survived by: one son: Charles Schoenthal and wife Dorothy, of Jamestown, Mo.; one daughter, Marianne "Ann" Muntzel and husband David, of Boonville, Mo.; five grandchildren: Chris Schoenthal and wife Jennifer, Bryan Schoenthal, and Nicholas Schoenthal and wife Teresa, all of Jamestown, Mo.; Heather Gibbs and husband Eric, Lee's Summitt, Mo., and Pete Muntzel, of Kansas City, Mo.; nine great-grandchildren, Evan, Bradley, Ethan, Brayden, Tristan and Audrina Schoenthal, Connor, Mason and Adalyn Gibbs. She is preceded in death by one sister, Florence Kiesling and infant twin brothers.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 6, 2012, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Paul's Evangelical Church, Jamestown, Mo. Burial will be in St. Paul's Evangelical Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Brian Bish. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., at St. Paul's Evangelical Church, Jamestown, Mo.

WHITAKER

William "Bill" Wilson Whitaker, 58, of California, Missouri, passed away June 26, 2012 at his home.

He was born on October 21, 1953, in Hannibal, Missouri, to William and Marcia (Wilson) Whitaker.

In 1977, Bill was married to Joy Spratley at Mt Zion Baptist Church in Molino, Mo.

After 26 years, Bill retired from the Missouri Department of Corrections. Currently, he was working in the Bakery at Schulte's Fresh Foods in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Bill is survived by: his wife Joy, of their home; two daughters; Deanna Perez, with husband Greg, of Jamestown, Mo., and Jenny Brown, with her husband Aaron, of California, Mo. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Melanie, Nicolas, and Ashleigh Perez; three brothers; one sister, along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, one granddaughter, Kelsey Perez, and his brother Bob Whitaker.

A private memorial service for the family will be held at a later date.
