3MT Lifechangers to volunteer in area July 21-28

The Mid-Missouri Mission Team, also known as the 3MT Lifechangers, will provide volunteer work for houses in California and surrounding areas July 21-28. This is the eighth summer the group has visited the area to provide volunteer work for those in need.

According to 3MT President and co-founder Kevin Kohler, the Lifechangers will work on properties in California, McGirk, Clarksburg, Latham, Tipton, Fortuna, Jefferson City, Sedalia, Laurie and possibly more.

Kohler said 180-200 missionaries are expected to participate. "The ages of volunteers range from 12 to 75. We will also have hundreds of additional adult volunteers from local churches."

Kohler added, "This project is in its eighth year and has been richly blessed. We pick the hottest month of the year to intentionally make it difficult, which really seems to make the event more fulfilling when we are doing hard things simply for the love of Jesus Christ. We originally set out to teach teens how to share their faith locally by providing service to people who need help. This part of the mission has been a huge success. We've also learned our adults needed to learn this important lesson as well. This program has brought churches together as they have united to do their part in this local mission project."
