Donald L. Bono, 58, longtime resident of California Care Center passed away Saturday, June 2, 1012 at the center.
Donald was a veteran of the U.S. Army and loved the St. Louis Cardinals.
He is survived by his two children Nicholas Bono of Racine, Wis., and Rhiannon Bono of St. Louis, Mo.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 11, 2012 at the California Care Center with military honors.

Larry Don Donley, 63, of Reno, Nevada, passed away Monday, May 7, 2012.
He was born October 21, 1948, at Latham Sanitarium in California, Mo., to LaVern McDaniel Donley and Robert Miller “Doc” Donley.
Larry graduated eighth grade at Clarksburg C-II Grade School and was a member of the graduating class of 1966 at California High. He completed a Bachelor of Science in Education and Social Sciences at Central Missouri State College and also his Juris Doctor at the University of Missouri School of Law in Columbia.
Larry worked at various occupations throughout his life including teaching a short time in Versailles High School, driving a taxi, and working as a caseworker for the State of Missouri Family Services. He was currently employed with Tessco Technologies, Inc.
Listening to live bands, antique/art shows, festivals and auctions were among the ways Larry enjoyed spending his leisure time. He particularly liked learning the history of places where he lived. Larry possessed a good sense of humor and liked to laugh and tell funny stories. He was honest, thoughtful of others and trustworthy.
Larry is survived by: his stepfather, Dean Birdsong, Clarksburg, Mo.; sister, Lana Donley Heflebower (Bruce), Liberty, Mo.; brothers, Bob Donley of Kansas City, Mo., and Dennis Donley (Donna) of California, Mo.; half-sister, Deena Birdsong Dummermuth (Wayne) of California, Mo.; six nieces and nephews; Britney and Brielle Heflebower, Bryan and Nathaniel Donley and Tyson and Tessa Dummermuth.
Preceding Larry in death are his parents, LaVerne Donley Birdsong, on April 25, 2012, Robert Miller “Doc” Donley, on October 30, 1958 and nephew, Lance Tyler Dummermuth, on August 1, 1983.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Clarksburg, Mo., at 2:00 p.m. The family requests no flowers or memorial donations.
Carmelita Louise (Wolf) Knipp, 81, of Tipton, died June 1, 2012 at the Tipton Oaks Manor in Tipton.
Mrs. Knipp was born September 26, 1930, in Garden City, Kan.,, to Vincent and C. Lorine Wolf. On February 20, 1954, she married Harold S. Knipp at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Tipton.
For most of her life, she resided with her husband, Harold, on the family farm southwest of Tipton, where they raised eight children. Carmelita was a long-time member of St. Andrew's Parish. In the early 1980's, she began preparing tax returns, and eventually owned and operated the H & R Block Tax office in Tipton. She often traveled to the H & R Block regional and national conventions. She sold the business in November 2011. She dedicated 25 years of service to the Tipton Senior Housing Authority and derived immense pleasure in assisting the tenants of Tipton Senior Housing. She was a long standing supporter of the Tipton business community. She truly enjoyed large family get-togethers.
She is survived by her husband, Harold of the home, seven children and their spouses: Delores Knipp Berens and David Berens of Monument, Colo., Rosella and Kent Schad of Holts Summit, Mo., Sylvia and Steve Scheidt of California, Mo., Juanita and Paul Thompson of Wildwood, Mo., Thelma and Dennis Scherping of Chesterfield, Mo., Vincent and Diana Knipp of Ballwin, Mo., and Sharon and John Prenger of Columbia, Mo.; 23 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings, Dawrence Wolf, Pueblo, Colo., Teressa Simon, Sedalia, Mo., Monica George, Sedalia, Mo., and Katrina Cook, Green Ridge, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Knipp; granddaughter, Nora Schad; and three brothers, Cletus, Gervase and Noel Wolf.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Andrew Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 10:00 a.m., with the burial in St. Andrew's Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Andrew's School, Moniteau County Nutrition Center of the Moniteau County American Cancer Society.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Meisenheimer Funeral Home.
Shirley Sue Lucas, 75, Prairie Home, died Saturday, June 2, 2012, at South Hampton Place, Columbia, Mo.
She is survived by six sons, Lanny Lucas, Tipton, Kenny Lucas, Jefferson City, John Lucas, Prairie Home, Terry Lucas, Hallsville, David Lucas, Albertville, Ala., and Tom Lucas, O’Fallon; two daughters, Lisa Sue Lucas, Columbia, Christy Watson, Prairie Home; one sister, Becky Weston; 16 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hayden and Agnes Bottoms, husband, E. Wayne Lucas and one brother, Larry Bottoms.
Service will be 10 a.m. at the Prairie Home Baptist Church on Wednesday, June 6. Condolences may be left at www.thacherwood.com.
Virginia Adline Wilson, 85, of California, Mo., passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Tipton Oak Manor.
She was born on November 18, 1926, the daughter of Albert and Lucinda Allen Inman, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married on August 18, 1945, in Kansas City, Kan., to Keith Wilson, who preceded her in death on May 23, 1993.
She worked as a sewing machine operator for the Pants Factory in Tipton and later for the Jacket Factory in California. She was a member of Main Street Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Keith and Sherry Wilson, Jr., of California; two daughters, Cinda and Steve Miller of Independence, Mo., and Anita and Mark Miller of McGirk, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Keith Wilson III, Tiffany M. Wilson, Matthew Miller, Sam Miller, Kimberly Cogswell, Andrea Cook and Sean Miller; 11 great-grandchildren, Brayden McClanahan, Eli McClanahan, Alison Miller, Desiree Miller, Dustin Miller, Arron Holloway, Alyssa Cogswell, Jacquelynne Miller, Samantha Miller, Nicole Miller and Erin Cook. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Main Street Baptist Church in California, Mo. Burial will be in the California City Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Ken Mathes and Rev. Eddie Schoeneberg. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services in California, Mo.
