The annual California Middle School Football Camp was held last week, June 4-8, at the middle school practice field, directed by CMS Football Coach Ed Ziegs.
"We ended up with about 55 in attendance," Ziegs said. "I was real happy with how camp went. The eighth graders really stood out as leaders, so the other coaches and I were very pleased."
Assisting Ziegs were CMS Coaches Andy Bieri, David Austin, Don delRosario and Scott Loring, and former CMS Coach Dale Embry.
"We worked on a new versatile offense, basic plays for the upcoming season, blocking techniques and fundamentals," Ziegs said. "We also watched game films. The kids left knowing what they need to do."
