Lady Panthers fall to Lady Pirates in district play

After defeating Jamestown 40-23 Feb. 27 in the first-round of the Class 1 District 9 Girls Basketball Tournament at St. Elizabeth, Prairie Home, the #4 seed, faced top-seeded Chamois in the semifinal round Wednesday, Feb. 29, where the Lady Panthers were upset 64-28 by the Lady Pirates.

Prairie Home led 10-8 after the first quarter, however, Chamois had pulled ahead 32-19 at the half. The Lady Pirates outscored the Lady Panthers 17-6 and 15-3 in the second half to take the win.
