Cole County R-1 School Board Meets

The Cole County R-1 School Board held its regular monthly meeting on Thursday, Feb. 16.

Under new business, the Board adopted the agenda, administrators presented their reports and voted to approve the consent agenda as presented. The Board approved a payroll fund transfer of $191,000.

The Board approved the Health Services Program Evaluation Report as presented by Christine Murphy. The Board also voted to approve the 164-Day Calendar as presented by Superintendent Jerry Hobbs. The Board next approved the request by Sports Crusaders to use the K-8 Building during the last week of June along with a Mileage Chart for reimbursement to staff for driving their personal vehicles on school business. The Board voted to amend the corporal punishment policy, JGA, and to discontinue the Dual Credit Reimbursement Program at the end of this school year.

In closed session, the Board discussed school personnel, but took no action.

The next Board meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 15.
