California Eagles 4027, Ladies' Auxiliary Doing Good Locally and Nationally
Tuesday, March 27, 2012
Carolyn Kiesling joined the California Eagles Ladies' Auxiliary after marrying her husband Paul, who is a charter member. In her time with the organization, she has been the local chapter president and president for district three for a year. What has kept her involved has been knowing she is part of an organization that is fun, but is committed to helping those in need.
"We have a lot of fun but it is a good organization," Kiesling said. "The main reason I am in it is because of what we do for the community. Anyone can walk in and tell us of a person's needs and if it is legitimate, we help."
Friday, March 23, the Eagles held a Fish Fry Dinner which included fried fish, fried potatoes, hush puppies, baked beans, cole slaw and dessert. The Eagles work with Annunciation Catholic Church, California, in alternating the fish fries during Lent. Both the Eagles and Ladies' Auxiliary worked together in preparing the fried dishes, sides and desserts and serving them.
