EcoWater Systems of Jefferson City Owner Joel Mietzner Continues Family Tradition
Tuesday, March 27, 2012
EcoWater Joel Mietzner grew up in Kankakee, Ill., a river town. He added water is all he has ever known. His father started an EcoWater business in Kankakee in 1962. Mietzner started working for his father in 1973. In 1983, Mietzner started working for Nelson Perrey who started an EcoWater business in Jefferson City in 1977. Later in 1998, Mietzner and his wife Pam purchased EcoWater Systems of Jefferson City and have continued the business of providing clean water since.
"We do everything involving making people's water better," Mietzner said. "Whether it is water softeners, water refiners, reverse osmosis drinking water, iron filters which take out iron from people's water and ultraviolet light systems which kill bacteria in wells. We have our own bottling plant which bottles five-gallon reverse osmosis water bottles we started in 2007. We sell those and salt out of our office and also deliver both."
