FERGUSON
Kristi Kay Ferguson, 55, of Jefferson City, died Monday, March 19, 2012, at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born on December 5, 1956, in Villisca, Iowa, the daughter of Russell Albert and Fern Lucile Hultquist Brown. Her mother survives in Corning, Iowa.
She was a 1975 graduate of Corning High School, a 1977 graduate of Ellsworth Community College with an Associates Degree, and a 1981 graduate of Northwest Missouri State University with a Bachelors Degree in Education.
Kristi was united in marriage on July 29, 1995, in California, Mo., to Robert Lee Ferguson who survives at the home.
Kristi was a first grade teacher with Jamestown Elementary School for 20 years, and Eugene Elementary School for 10 years.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Missouri State Teachers Association, and the Eagles Lady Auxiliary.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by a son, Eric (Jill) Ferguson, Columbia; one grandson, Max Ferguson; five siblings, Dick (Sandy) Brown, Wall Lake, Iowa; Bob (Elinor) Brown, Villisca, Iowa; Ron Brown, Villisca, Iowa; Linda (Tom) Kleiman, Kewaunee, Wisc.; Vicky (Jake) Tugel, Carlisle, Iowa; her loving nieces and nephews; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bob and Marie Ferguson, Centertown; one brother-in-law, Gary (Terri) Ferguson, Jefferson City; and two sisters-in-law, Michelle (Jon) Dougherty, Centertown; and Lynn (Dave) Young, Fulton.
She was preceded in death by her father; a sister-in-law, Joan Brown; a nephew, Aaron Brown; her maternal grandparents, John and Mabel Hultquist; her paternal grandparents, Albert and Daisy Brown; and several aunts and uncles.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2012, at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Francis W. Doyle, officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.

LACY
Jeanne Poindexter Lacy, 84, of Prairie Home, died peacefully at home on Monday, March 19, 2012.
Jeanne Reve Poindexter was born in Prairie Home, on November 9, 1927, to James Gordon "Pat" and Gardella Johnson Poindexter. She was a graduate of Prairie Home High School and Central Methodist College where she majored in English and History. She married Robert Winston "Dub" Lacy, Jr. on June 3, 1950. Jeanne and Dub had three children - Robert, Lee Ann and Nancy.
Jeanne was an educator in every sense of the word and began her teaching career in Eugene. She also taught at Locust Grove School, west of Boonville, and in Boonville, before moving back to Prairie Home where she taught English for many years. Jeanne was an active member of the Prairie Home United Methodist Church where she served on committees, was a member of the choir and of course, taught Sunday School. For many years she provided and arranged the altar flowers at the church.
Jeanne loved the printed word. She began a longstanding collaboration with newspapers when she was editor of the college newspaper at Central Methodist and worked at the Fayette newspaper. She was a longtime contributor to the Boonville Daily News and the California Democrat. She was a voracious reader and served for many years on the Boonslick Regional Library Board.
Jeanne believed in community service and championed numerous causes. Among her various affiliations were Mid-Missouri Mental Health Association Board, the Wesley Foundation Board in Columbia, Cooper County Historical Society and Cooper County Democrats, serving as Democratic Committeewoman from Prairie Home. She was a member of, P.E.O., Delta Kappa Gamma and the Prairie Home Garden Club. Jeanne always loved flowers and after her retirement from teaching became a Master Gardener. She also enjoyed travel and spending time with her family.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Robert Winston Lacy III. She is survived by her daughters, Lee Ann Clark of Bolivar, and Nancy Kixmiller of Prairie Home; four grandchildren, Katy Lacy, Jefferson City, Lacy Ellman, Seattle, Wash., Michael Clark, Bolivar, Ben Kixmiller, Prairie Home; and sister, Ann Lyons, Prairie Village, Kans.
Funeral service were held on Friday, March 23, at 10:00 a.m. at the Prairie Home United Methodist Church with interment immediately following in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Boonville.

LEHMAN
Ruby E. Lehman, age 91, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2012, in Overland Park, Kansas.
She was born May 19, 1920, at Prairie Home, Mo., the daughter of William and Marie (Oerly) Larimore. She grew up there and graduated from Prairie Home High School in May 1938.
She then came to California, Mo., and was employed at California Manufacturing Co. for several years before her marriage to Allen Lehman Jr., in 1949, and they established their home in Overland Park. He preceded her in death, as did her parents.
Ruby was a devoted wife, mother, homemaker and also worked outside the home. She loved playing baseball with their two sons and other neighborhood children, but had to give that up when she broke her ankle. It was then decided no more baseball for her.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is also preceded in death by a brother W.N. "Dub" Larimore and a sister in early childhood.
Ruby was a member of the Overland Park Assembly of God Church for many years.
Survivors include: two sons, Ronald Lehman of Merriam, Kansas, Keith Lehman and wife Becky of Paola, Kansas; one granddaughter Gwendolynn of Larned, Kansas; two grandsons, Andy and wife Jo of Hutchinson, Kansas, Brian and fiance of Cozad, Nebraska; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Several family members from this area attended services in the funeral chapel.
