Seven members of the Prairie Home School varsity softball team were recently named to the Academic All-State softball teams by the Missouri High School Softball Coaches' Association. Front row, from left, are Taylor Zey, Kendra Stinson and Kohlie Stock, who were named to the first team; and back row, Krista Small, Brooke Emmerich and Amber Carmichael, who were named to the first team; and Kimberly Hettinger, who was named to the second team. In order to qualify to be named to to the first team, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.88-4.0 and must be a varsity letter winner. To qualify for the second team, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.75-3.87 and must be a varsity letter winner.

Prairie Home was among 13 schools competing at the California High School Math Contest Feb. 18, where a number of PHS students earned a ribbon or medal for finishing in the top of their event.
