Four California Pinto golfers competed at Class 2 Sectionals Thursday at Eagle Knoll Golf Course, Ashland, where Adam Burger finished among the top 12 individuals (not on a qualifying team) with 87, to earn All-District honors and advance to the State Golf Championships May 14-15 at Twin Oaks Country Club, Springfield.

Palmyra finished in first place as a tem with 359, followed by Hermann in second place with 370, Cuba in third place with 371, and California in fourth place with 374.

"We missed second place and qualifying as a team by just four strokes," California Coach Doug Miller said. "But we'll be rooting for Adam."
