The Prairie Home Panthers faced New Franklin Monday night in the semifinal round of the Class 1 District 11 Baseball Tournament at New Franklin, where they lost 4-0 to the top-seeded Bulldogs to end the season.
"We lost a very tough game tonight to one of the toughest teams we have faced all season," Prairie Home Coach Jesse Oswald said. "Trever Huth put us in a good position with his pitching and our defense did a very good job of backing him up. New Franklin pitcher Tyler White did a good job of keeping us off-balanced; he didn't give us anything. I thought we had New Franklin worried throughout the game and didn't give them anything. I'm very proud of our guys' effort and I think they really left everything on the field."
