BROWN

John S. Brown, of Rocky Mount, Mo., passed away Saturday, May 5, 2012, at his sister's home in California, Mo.

John was born on Oct.. 13, 1944, in California, Mo., to Frank Andrew Brown and Bessie Jewel (Brown) Stiller.

John had six living children: Shawn D. Brown, Shane F. Brown, Phillip R. Brown, Tiffany M.V. Brown, Rebecca Brown and Ruth Brown Sanders.

He leaves several grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

John was born into a family of 12 children. There was and still remains a strong bond of caring and love within his family. His missing link weakens the chain. Brothers and sisters of the deceased are: Fred Brown (Alberta), Ida, La., Frank Brown (Jean) Lawton, Okla., Kenneth Brown (Fern), Mesa, Ariz., Robert Stiller (Stephanie), Jefferson City, Mo., Tom Stiller, High Point, Mo., William "Art" (Becky), Versailles, Mo., Anna Brown, California, Mo., Helen Willis, Eldon, Mo., Wanda Morrow (John), Macon, Ill., Eva Miller (Dencil), Jefferson City, Mo., and Mary Cooper (deceased), Eldon, Mo.

Above all else in life John loved his family. He will be greatly missed by all of them.

John loved to fish if the fish were biting.

John truly loved to learn. He was always involved in a new project. He would study on it and then begin the work on it.

John loved his flowers and his garden. He was always looking for more beautiful flowers for his yard. He will love God's garden we're sure.

John has run his race. As with all of us, he knew he would only be victorious through Jesus Christ. His race is over and in his own words he said, "Victory, the race is won." John now resides in heaven surrounded by family and in the presence of God.

John was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Sue Brown, his father, Frank Andrew Brown, his mother, Bessie Brown Stiller, his stepfather of 52 years, Robert Stiller, and one sister, Mary Cooper.
