Smith and Jacobs win feature races at Double-X Speedway

The first races of the 2012 racing season at the Double-X Speedway got underway Sunday night and proved exciting for race fans as local racers Ray Smith and Seth Jacobs, Centertown, took home trophies for their feature wins in the Street Stock and Hobby Stock divisions.

Miss Moniteau County Bailey Glenn and Kirstyn Roush, California, started off the evening with a duet of the National Anthem, while David Hoellering, California, said the prayer.

In the Street Stock division, heat races were won by Centertown's Joe Miller and Ray Smith. Following Smith to the finish line were Centertown's Joe Miller in second place; Cole Graves, Fulton, third; Keith Strange, Eldon, fourth; and Curtis Turpin, Jefferson City.
