Democrat Club honors Gail Hughes at Truman Days

Gail Hughes was honored Saturday, May 19, by being named to the Moniteau County Democrat Hall of Fame. The honor was presented by Moniteau County Democrat Club President Eric Moore, Clarksburg, at the Truman Days dinner held at the fairgrounds.

Hughes, 80, is originally from Morgan County. He had a long career in corrections and the criminal justice system, then formed his own consulting firm. He also has engaged in many volunteer activities, including California Progress, Inc. (CPI), the local SB40 Board, and Friends of the Finke Theatre.
