Russell and Wolf compete at Class 1 State Golf Championships

Russellville’s Jordan Russell and Chandler Wolf participated in the Class 2 State Golf Championships May 14-15 at Fremont Hill Country Club, Nixa, where each finished 35th, in a four-way tie with 177.

Russell shot a 99 on day one and a 78 on day two and Wolf shot a 92 on day one and 85 on day two.

”I’m pleased with our finish at state,” Russellville Coach Mitch Gier said. “Both kids made a couple of course management errors the first day that produced some bad results, but they played a great round on Tuesday and finished strong. I’m real proud of these two for making it to state and finishing tied for 35th out of 92 kids. Jordan’s 78 on Tuesday was his best score at state, so I’m really proud he finished his career like that.”
