Roscoe J. Henley, 90, of California, Mo., passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at Tipton Oaks Manor in Tipton, Mo.
He was born on September 13, 1921, in Arkansas, the son of Ira and Bertha (Jacobs) Henley, both of whom preceded him in death. He was married to Lorene Judy Walter, who preceded him in death in 1954. He later married Delores Marie Farley, who also preceded him in death in 1993.
He was a graduate of Eugene High School. He worked as a farmer and also as a carpenter. He served in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by one son, Larry Henley and wife Rita of California Mo.; three grandsons, Brad Henley and wife Melissa, of Pueblo West, Colo., Rodney Henley and wife Janet, and Wyatt Henley and wife Amanda, all of California; six great-grandchildren, Breanna, Brant, Morgan, Gracie, Dane and Dylann Henley; two brothers, Ira (Bud) Henley, Jr., Willard Mo.; B.B. Henley, Higginsville Mo.; two sisters, Bonnie Strickfaden, Edwardsville, Ill., and Betty Dummermuth, Russellville Mo. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Roscoe Jr.; one grandson Kevin Henley; three brothers, John (Dick), Norman, and Nolan Henley; and two sisters, Marguerite Hutchison and Ruby Lehman.
Funeral services were held on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services in California. Burial was at the Centertown Cemetery. Officiating was Mr. Jack Bowlin.

William Joseph “Bill” Luetkemeyer, 55, of Jefferson City, went peacefully to God, Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at Capital Region Medical Center surrounded by his family.
He was born on July 30, 1956, in Jefferson City, the son of the late Herman William Luetkemeyer and Barbara Mullen Luetkemeyer. His mother survives in Jefferson City.
He was a 1975 graduate of Helias High School.
He was united in marriage on December 4, 1992, in Jefferson City, Mo., to Melissa Sue Mosley of California, Mo., who survives at the home.
Bill was employed by Roger and Catherine Mertens at their Clark Ave Station. On July 1, 1977, he became full time at their Mertens Mini Mart (Valero) on Southwest Blvd., which he later managed until his death.
Growing up, Bill loved camp-outs with his friends and family on the family farm, playing softball with his friends and neighbors, and also holding a yearly hog roast with friends.
Bill loved sports. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Mizzou Tigers fan.
Bill’s life was his family and his work. He loved joking and visiting with his customers at Mertens. Bill never knew a stranger, he could strike up a conversation with anyone.
Bill had a big heart and he will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
Bill is survived by his wife, Melissa of 19 years; his mother, Barbara Luetkemeyer; one sister-in-law, Diane (Vince) Schulte, Jefferson City; three brothers-in-law, Mark (Mary) Mosley; Bob (Carol) Mosley; Brian Mosley, all of California; father-in-law and step-mother-in-law, Eddie (Doris) Mosley, California; many aunts and uncles; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herman William Luetkemeyer; and his mother-in-law, Betty Mosley.
Funeral Services were held at 3 p.m. Friday, May 18, 2012, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with Rev. Edwin A. Schmidt, officiating.
Burial was in Riverview Cemetery.

Walter Keith Powell, 66, of Clarksburg, Mo., passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Mo.
He was born on August 2, 1945 in California, Mo., the son of Clay and Lucy (Volkart) Powell, both of whom preceded him in death. He was married on December 14, 1963, to Mabel Louise Uptergrove, who preceded him in death on February 13, 2009. He married Mary Jo Hanna on October 19, 2000, who survives of the home.
He worked as a flatbed builder for Benny Hainen, and was owner of Backpack Truckbeds and Trailers.
He is survived by one daughter, Lisa Griggs and husband Jeff; stepdaughters Betty Leuthauser and husband Johnny, Sherry Cotten, and Melissa Williams and husband Robert; stepsons Larry J. Gish and wife Christina and Billy Jack Purnell and wife Natasha; one sister, Judy Koechner and husband John; grandchildren Roxanne and Jordan; 18 stepgrandchildren; great-grandson Roman; and 16 stepgreat-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Cemetery near Kaiser, Mo. Officiating will be Pastor Steve Jones.

Jerry Lee Schwab, 75, Liberty, Mo., passed away May 19, 2012.
Jerry was born December 18, 1936 in Kansas City, Missouri to George Frederick and Opal (Dunham) Schwab.
He was a 1954 graduate of California (Mo.) High School and a 1958 graduate of Central Methodist College. Jerry worked for Farmland for 30 years retiring in 1991. After retirement he enjoyed working at Creative Sculptures. He was a member of the National Society of Accountants for Cooperatives.
Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Doris I. Schwab and his parents.
Survivors include his son, Mark A. Schwab, Liberty, Mo.; daughter, Sandra Schwab Adams and husband Dr. James Adams, Kirksville, Mo.; stepson, Matthew Charles Ross, Kansas City, Mo.; two granddaughters, Maggie Adams and Brooke Adams, numerous cousins and their families.
Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, May 21 at Church-Archer-Pasley Funeral Home, Liberty, Mo. Burial was at Glenridge Cemetery, Liberty.
Memorial contributions may be made to Liberty Hospital for the Oncology Unit.
