CHS Track Awards Banquet held May 22

The annual California High School Track and Field Awards Banquet was held May 22 at the high school commons, where members of the track team, coaches, family and friends gathered to reflect on and celebrate the 2012 season.

Following a carry-in meal, CHS Head Track Coach Rick Edwards started the awards ceremony off by thanking those who contributed to help make the 2012 season such a success. As Edwards recognized those individuals, he was interrupted by a parent of a CHS trackster, who said Coach Edwards should be included in that list of people to thank, for being such an amazing coach and mentor to the track athletes for the last 14 years.
