Crime Watch offers reward for information

A $100 reward was authorized for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the mailbox damage along Highway D on Sept. 21.

The Moniteau County Crime Watch authorized this reward at the regular monthly meeting held Tuesday, Oct. 9, at the Emergency 911 Center.

The reward was approved by the board of directors because mailboxes vandalized along Route D north of California included at least one belonging to a Crime Watch member.

For information about the reward, contact Moniteau County Sheriff Jeptha Gump at 573-796-2525. For information about becoming a member of Moniteau County Crime Watch, contact Bruce Longan or Rudy Schroeder.

Other topics discussed at the meeting included planning for the annual dinner, membership renewals and officers for the organization for the coming year
