Help needed in Russellville

In order for Russellville's 175th anniversary celebration to be a success lots of help is needed from everyone. Please consider helping out with one or more of the activities listed.

Join the Committee.  The meetings are held the third Thursday of each month at the St. Michael's Parish Hall basement at 6:30 p.m.

The committee plans to have a "History Museum of Russellville" and needs someone to help organize the museum and people to work it that weekend.  Any church, organization, business or individual that would like to have a table to display historical pictures, articles, or items is welcome. A table can be reserved for your project.

All quilters of the community are encouraged to join in the quilting of the two quilts to be auctioned off at the festival.  To volunteer quilting services please contact Sharon Distler at 782-3136.  A quilt show in connection with the History Museum would be welcomed.  People to be in charge are needed and people of the community to provide quilts.

Someone or a group to coordinate the children's area is needed.  Please consider giving some time to help make this weekend one to remember.

Items for the silent and live auction are needed again this year. Please let us know if you have something you would like to donate.

Do you want to see something new at the festival this year?  There have been complaints that something new is needed. More volunteers are needed in order to be able to do more and make new events to happen.

So show your support by pitching in to help with this celebration!

To volunteer for any of these things or if you have questions please call Jim or Eve Campbell at 782-4772.
