7th Annual PTO Carnival for California Elementary

 California Elementary is gearing up to host its seventh annual PTO Carnival on Saturday, Sept. 29, from  4-8 p.m.  On behalf of the Parent/Teacher Organization sincere appreciation is extended to the local businesses and annual donors who make this event such a success.  Over the past six years the PTO has raised the funding to create a safe and inviting play area for the students.  The elementary playground has been furnished with a new equipment shed, X-wave, skate rides, landscaping and the most recent addition for the children a large shade pavilion complete with picnic tables. Within the building the PTO has been fortunate to be able to provide a new copy machine, laptops, printers, teacher classroom supplies and sound system upgrades for the gymnasium.  Additionally, members take pride in helping to give back to the local community through donations to the United Way, Back to School Fair, district Giving Tree/Circle of Sharing, the local food pantry, grade level field trip assistance, assemblies and much more. 

This year the PTO carnival funding will go directly toward the purchase of new cafeteria tables and updates.   Please come out and support California Elementary, Sept. 29, to help reach the new goal for the 2012-2013 school year.
