Grandparents Day held at California Elementary

A large of number of friends and relatives visited the California Elementary School Friday, Sept. 7, for Third Grade Grandparents Day.

The young people and their visitors gathered in the elementary cafeteria to have a cinnamon roll breakfast, with choice of coffee or milk, wihile they sat, talked and filled out questionnaires.

A bag was provided for each grandparent or stand-in. Inside were a "World's Greatest Grandparent Award," an envelope for a thank you note, a "My Grandparent Interview," and several other activities for the children and adults.

After the snack and activities, the group divided and went into the classrooms of teachers Kayla Barnard, Amie Doll, Katheryn Streeter, Deborah Francis and Gwendolyn Hendrickson.
