Cody Freeman, 22, California, was charged with Class C Felony Passing Bad Checks for writing three checks on a non-existent account. Checks were written July 30 for $125, Aug. 2 for $200 and Aug. 3 for $250. If convicted on this charge, he could face up to seven years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
