Students arrived for school early sharing scripture, concerns and praying for fellow students, teachers, leaders and our nation. The large group broke into several cell groups to have small group prayer time and then returned to a large group to share scripture and prayer before school began.

SYATP is an annual gathering of Christian students of all ages at a flagpole in front of their local school for prayer, scripture-reading, hymn-singing, during the early morning before school starts. The American SYATP events occur the fourth Wednesday of September each year. The events began in 1990 in the U.S. where public schools can not sponsor prayers, but prayers organized by students themselves are allowed and protected by free speech rights.
