Department of Agriculture Awards Jamestown Company with Feed Compliance Award

The Missouri Department of Agriculture has awarded Jamestown Agri Service Inc. in Jamestown, the 2012 Excellence in Compliance Award for maintaining an outstanding record of consistency and accuracy on feed sample guarantees in 2012.
"We commend Jamestown Agri Service Inc. for its success in ensuing accurate guarantees for nutritional values for livestock feeds," said Director of Agriculture Dr. John Hagler. "We take our responsibilities for ensuing Missourians can count on receiving the high quality products they purchase from our state's agriculture producers and processors very seriously and are very proud of the companies who have joined us in upholding the highest standards."
Since 1998, the Missouri Department of Agriculture has presented this award annually to companies who maintain a 90 percent or greater passing rate on five or more random feed samples. These samples are analyzed by the Missouri State Feed Control Laboratory to determine adherence to slated label guarantees for nutrient content.
